DR. RACHEL HADDAD

Rachel Haddad, Psy.D. is the founder of Psychological Assessment of Westchester, PLLC, and is a licensed psychologist specializing in neuropsychological assessment and cognitive and behavioral therapy.   Dr. Haddad has worked in a range of clinical settings, including outpatient clinics, hospitals, schools, early childhood agencies, and private group practices.  Prior to founding Psychological Assessment of Westchester, Dr. Haddad was the Director of Neuropsychological Assessment at a large group practice in Westchester.

Dr. Haddad received her bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and her doctorate in clinical psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology.  She completed her predoctoral internship at the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine at NYU before obtaining a post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychological assessment and cognitive remediation.  Dr. Haddad has supervised trainees at the graduate and postdoctoral levels, and was previously a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Albert Einstein School of Medicine and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Yeshiva University.

Dr. Haddad’s expertise includes treating children, adolescents, and young adults affected by learning disorders; including dyslexia, nonverbal learning disability, and language-based learning challenges, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and executive functioning difficulties; as well as by emotional and behavioral challenges.   Additionally, Dr. Haddad has experience evaluating and treating individuals affected by complex medical histories; including traumatic brain injury, genetic disorders, and childhood cancers.  

  

Dr. Haddad also specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy for ADHD, facilitating the development of critically important life skills including organization, time management, planning, problem solving strategies, working memory, and initiation.  She has led workshops for teachers and parents on developing students' executive functioning abilities.  Dr. Haddad also treats patients impacted by anxiety and social difficulties.
